Missing People are often Ignored by Police, Media and Society

Lucely “Lilly” Aramburo vanished a dark June night in 2007. Her fiance says she went for a walk at 2am. She’s never been seen or heard from ever again. This is so common these days. People go missing. Media people ignore the fliers from detectives, rarely reporting the story to the community. Right now there’s a child abduction that no one in Miami knows about because local media won’t report it to us. It’s not “juicy” enough, as Sergeant Varela told me and Lilly’s mom.
So why is it not important to members of our community? As humans and Americans we have the power to make a difference in small actions that we can do. However, most of us choose not to. Most of us are “too busy”. I ask, are you truly busy or are you distracted?
I urge you, please help me find my friend, Lilly. Or help the cause of the MISSING, there are countless others. You can help us get our stories heard.

You can help us in this difficult effort to get her story heard. It’s been 9 months and her picture has not been seen by most folks in Miami. Her disappearance is not “juicy” enough, as stated by Sergeant Varela of Miami Dade Police.
We need you to write to your local officials and to the local paper. Below you will find some contacts. Please write a compelling letter and send it to all of them by email. Your help is appreciated! Lilly still has not been featured on any news, locally or nationally. She needs us to speak for her. Please lend a hand today.

Need help!

Would anyone out there like to help?? I’m drowning here, seeking assistance from Miami residents and internet volunteers.

We’re currently seeking help posting and distributing fliers, folks with computer skills to send emails, folks with experience in event organizing and contacts in the community. Students, housewives, retirees, please donate an hour to find a missing mother. Her family is desperate to find her. She’s a tiny itty-bitty girl in terrible danger. It’s been way too long, she would have made contact long time ago!

Please contact me today! I understand your time is very valuable. You can volunteer whenever you have a free hour to devote.

Thank you and peace be with you…

Where is Lilly???

South Florida family asks for help in locating 24 year old daughter, Lucely “Lilly” Aramburo MISSING since June 2007.

Lilly Aramburo NCMA Flyer
For the last nine months Lily Aramburo’s family has struggled to find her. It has been made harder since law enforcement, Miami Dade Police Department has not been helpful in the matter. The last person to see Lily, ex-boyfriend Christen Pacheco, says it was after 2am and they had been arguing and Lily walked out of his condo through the sliding door in the living room, taking nothing but a pair of bungee cords. According to Kelly Starling and Emmanuel DeJesus who were also there, Lily did not take her bag (purse) with money, her cellphone and most interesting her boots. Christen Pacheco told police that Lily had a history of attempting suicide. Lilly has not been seen or heard from ever since. Lilly disappeared from the Kendall area of Miami, the 7800 block of SW 82nd Street, near Dadeland Mall on June 1, 2007.

Anyone with any information should immediately contact Miami Dade Police Department Detective Mancha 305-418-7245 or 305-418-7200 amancha@mdpd.com. You can also report your anonymous tip to Private Investigator Joe Carrillo at 305-926-3110.

Is no news good news?

It’s been some time since my last post but here I am getting prepared to blog again. No good news updates yet. There’s been sightings but they’re not confirmed therefore not reliable. I can only hope that someone out there sees her and calls us. The detective won’t return our calls or emails. I’m finding it so difficult to get through to them. Why can’t they treat Lilly’s case with priority? At the very least, return our calls.

Please pray for Lilly and her family.
Thank you for your continued support.

We’ve made progress in Lilly’s case!!

I’m ecstatic to report back that there has been progress! For one, Lilly’s mom went on Univision, a program which will air in a few short weeks. The producers of the show even made a financial contribution! It’s not all that much but it’s something and it helps alleviate some financial hardship for the benefit of Lilly’s baby, Baby Palden. He’s so precious! I wish I had the time now to explain a little bit about his name. Let’s just say he’s blessed.

Another beautiful thing that has manifested is that some awesome private investigators are going to help out, donating their own time to the case. Wow, I’m still in shock about the kindness of strangers. They say they’re going to help get media attention for Lilly and get her on America’s Most Wanted!

I’ll report back soon! Peace to all…

Finally met Detective Mancha

I went to see Detective Mancha, the detective from Miami Dade Police assigned to Lilly’s case on Monday with the new evidence I found. I think it shows a possible motive. I asked Detective Mancha where we’re at.

I’ll tell you where we’re at, absolutely NO progress in 6 months!! He still hasn’t questioned her boyfriend, one of the last people to see her. He said that he’s been out to his apartment a few times but he’s never there. He says he’s left various business cards asking him to call. And surprise surprise, he hasn’t called. I’m so frustrated with police and media.

I practically begged him to help with a press release. And (as expected) he washed his hands of it. It’s not him, he has to submit it to P.I.O Police Information Office, which is media relations for the police. But after everything, the fact that he misspelled her name on the flyer, the fact that he’s let all this time fly without pinning down the boyfriend, etc- he can’t even make a press release happen. What ever happened to compassion? Lilly is a human being, a precious one to her family and friends. So why can’t they even get her picture up on the news/newspaper, etc?
I am determined more than ever to continue this mission to find her. As long as I remain in this world, I vow to never stop seeking justice for my precious friend, Lilly.

I did get something accomplished though. I’ll let you know tomorrow after the fact. Wish us luck… we really need it. In this world, you must be white, middle-class, or from an important family to get any media attention or proper police investigation. It’s a sad realization, I’ve learned the hard way.

Please don’t stop praying for Lilly.

Disturbing find

I recently did a little research and I found someone’s blog entry regarding Lilly. I’m freaking out at how hateful it was. I suspect that person may have important information, to say the least. It was too passionate…they had pictures of her too.

I’m seeing the police investigator Monday. I can’t wait to have that conversation.

I’ll let you guys know what happens.

Press release to come soon too….

Learned of another missing woman! omg!!

Today I created a new group on Facebook for Lily. For those of you not on Facebook yet, what are you waiting for? Please join my group here
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6448284204

Recently, I learned about another young woman who went missing from Miami back in May. Her name is Stepha Henry. Here is her Facebook group
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2368558573

This is a serious problem in Miami. The police don’t take the time that they should to investigate. The are too busy tazering old people & children or shooting innocent black kids. Where o where are the good cops?? Anywhere in this beautiful City of Miami?
