Lilly will always be remembered

Lilly,
It’s been almost a year since that fateful night you disappeared – 6/2/07. I want you to know
I’ll always remember you, your stories, your contagious laugh, sense of humor, kindness and most of all, your humanity. I’ll will continue my work to tell the world about you. And won’t stop until you are found. It’s my sincere wish and I pray that wherever you are, you are safe, healthy and strong.

It saddens me so much not knowing what happened to you. Palden is getting older, he’s talking now! And soon he will start asking questions.

I can only imagine your suffering those last few days at Christen’s. I know you were arguing & fighting with Christen and Kelly. Did something go terribly wrong? WHY hasn’t he made more of an effort to find you when you were engaged to be married?? I’m so sorry for what you’ve been through. And my heart is heavy for not being closer to you before that horrible night…

Until we meet again, stay strong, determined and never lose faith! Your family and friends love you and will never give up…

We NEED volunteers and SPONSORSHIP!

Friends, we are in need of some people to help post up flyers of Lilly all over town. As well as making some phone calls. We also need some help with fund raising events. And seeking out potential sponsors. Please contact me if you’re interested.

Next month will be the year anniversary of Lilly’s disappearance. With your help, we can make it an awareness event to remember. If you’re a business owner or organization and would like to help with sponsorship, don’t be shy. We have some great ideas and incentives to make it worth your time and effort.

I can’t stress enough how painful and difficult this past year has been since Lilly vanished into thin air. We are finally getting some attention (online) but still not enough people in Miami know about her disappearance. Her baby is getting older, he’s walking now! And soon he’ll start asking questions about his mom. Please help me get the answers this baby deserves. Stand with me and let’s show the world that every single human life is precious.

Thanks to the internet, Lilly’s story being heard!

In the past few months there has been some sightings of Lilly. Unfortunately, they have not been confirmed. We do not know for sure that it is her or a look alike. It’s very frustrating to say the least. And extremely difficult for her mother. For those reading my blog for the first time, please read on and let me tell you about Lilly. Lilly vanished June 2, 2007. You may not have heard as most locally haven’t because she’s never been on the news!

As you can see, we depend on the internet to spread the news about Lilly. Here is a recent article written about her.

And another
http://helpfindthemissing.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3075

We are currently organizing an event for the year anniversary of Lilly’s disappearance. If anyone would like to help with this please contact us. Unfortunately, we don’t have much support from the community right now. Probably because no one knows. That’s why we’re asking for your assistance. We need people to help post and distribute flyers all around Florida. This can be done any time at your own convenience. If you’re a truck driver and are thinking about lending a hand contact me today. Every one is encouraged to help. We also need a spokesperson for the family.
Another thing that would be of great benefit is to write letters to local media, newspapers and politicians. Unfortunately, people go missing every day and not enough media coverage or importance is given. Even police complain about media and their lack of coverage of cases involving missing or abducted children. It’s all too common.

We’ve made progress in Lilly’s case!!

I’m ecstatic to report back that there has been progress! For one, Lilly’s mom went on Univision, a program which will air in a few short weeks. The producers of the show even made a financial contribution! It’s not all that much but it’s something and it helps alleviate some financial hardship for the benefit of Lilly’s baby, Baby Palden. He’s so precious! I wish I had the time now to explain a little bit about his name. Let’s just say he’s blessed.

Another beautiful thing that has manifested is that some awesome private investigators are going to help out, donating their own time to the case. Wow, I’m still in shock about the kindness of strangers. They say they’re going to help get media attention for Lilly and get her on America’s Most Wanted!

I’ll report back soon! Peace to all…

Finally met Detective Mancha

I went to see Detective Mancha, the detective from Miami Dade Police assigned to Lilly’s case on Monday with the new evidence I found. I think it shows a possible motive. I asked Detective Mancha where we’re at.

I’ll tell you where we’re at, absolutely NO progress in 6 months!! He still hasn’t questioned her boyfriend, one of the last people to see her. He said that he’s been out to his apartment a few times but he’s never there. He says he’s left various business cards asking him to call. And surprise surprise, he hasn’t called. I’m so frustrated with police and media.

I practically begged him to help with a press release. And (as expected) he washed his hands of it. It’s not him, he has to submit it to P.I.O Police Information Office, which is media relations for the police. But after everything, the fact that he misspelled her name on the flyer, the fact that he’s let all this time fly without pinning down the boyfriend, etc- he can’t even make a press release happen. What ever happened to compassion? Lilly is a human being, a precious one to her family and friends. So why can’t they even get her picture up on the news/newspaper, etc?
I am determined more than ever to continue this mission to find her. As long as I remain in this world, I vow to never stop seeking justice for my precious friend, Lilly.

I did get something accomplished though. I’ll let you know tomorrow after the fact. Wish us luck… we really need it. In this world, you must be white, middle-class, or from an important family to get any media attention or proper police investigation. It’s a sad realization, I’ve learned the hard way.

Please don’t stop praying for Lilly.

Disturbing find

I recently did a little research and I found someone’s blog entry regarding Lilly. I’m freaking out at how hateful it was. I suspect that person may have important information, to say the least. It was too passionate…they had pictures of her too.

I’m seeing the police investigator Monday. I can’t wait to have that conversation.

I’ll let you guys know what happens.

Press release to come soon too….

Learned of another missing woman! omg!!

Today I created a new group on Facebook for Lily. For those of you not on Facebook yet, what are you waiting for? Please join my group here
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6448284204

Recently, I learned about another young woman who went missing from Miami back in May. Her name is Stepha Henry. Here is her Facebook group
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2368558573

This is a serious problem in Miami. The police don’t take the time that they should to investigate. The are too busy tazering old people & children or shooting innocent black kids. Where o where are the good cops?? Anywhere in this beautiful City of Miami?

Lilly Aramburo Has Vanished!

I’ve had a variety of difficult situations manifest in my life which have led me to want to start this blog.

A good friend, Lily Aramburo, has been missing since June 1, 2007. Feeling helpless has motivated me to express those feelings and inform everyone about the cause of missing persons and domestic violence. Society rather turn a blind eye but I think it’s very important to document our stories. Here is mine.

I am Janet, a Social Media Strategist from Miami, FL. I work for Subliminal Pixels Lab and I’ve dedicated myself to raising awareness for Lilly and other missing persons. Please consider subscribing to my RSS feed.

Lilly is a 23 year old mother. She was born in San Francisco but raised in Miami, FL. We’ve been close friends for a long time. I’m scared to death about her disappearance. It can’t be anything good. Lilly has a 9 month old son. She’s never leave him. Lilly was last seen at her fiance’s apartment in Kendall. He says they had an argument and she walked out in pajamas with bungee cords. It makes absolutely no sense. She hasn’t been seen since.

Something is very wrong and I intent to get to the truth. Join me on this mission. Help me seek justice for Lilly.

Here are some links I think may come in handy to some.

Very helpful link to register missing children & adults

The above links are not local organizations but they may help someone out there.
Until next time, may you find peace within yourself.

Here is a close up pic of Lily. Anyone out there seen her? She went missing from the Kendall area of Miami.

We’re working on gathering enough funds to do a massive search for her. If anyone would like to donate please contact me. Her mom would be very grateful.
